  Windy: "when i met carl, he was in a band. then he played music with some other people. and it was all covers and stuff. but he would sit at home, and play guitar for me, and it was incredible. he had an industrial parts job that was really dirty physical labor, and he had to get up at 430 am and he always went and worked hard and made sure our bills were paid. and each spring, he would get laid off for a month or 2, and he would spend all of his time playing the guitar and writing songs. i would listen and beg him to make more. he had all these great ideas and found the most incredible ways to use an old boombox and a stereo tape deck to make multi-layered tracks that i adored. in 1993 i convinced him we could have a band together and make music and play shows, just like all the people our age who were already putting out records and touring.
  
  the recordings on this 3 cd set are from that early time period. some recordings are from before we started working together. demos of tracks and songs no one has ever heard but us. they were all made with that method of boombox to tape deck and back, some times many times, to create all the layers you hear. it's primitive, but effective, and was the beginning of our decades worth of musical creations. back then - we did not let much get in the way of making music. we had next to no gear, nothing special to record on or with, and just a lot of ideas about what sounded cool or could be created out of thin air.
  
  most of this music was made by carl. i play some stuff here or there. i sing on some. it's the beginnings of a whole new world for us.
  
  this comp - home recordings and unreleased demos from 1992 to 1995 - is limited to 300 hand made copies. the cds come in a 6 panel wallet with all 6 panels being hand painted by me. i also painted the inserts and they have each been signed by both of us and hand numbered.

  We've been working at getting this together for the past few years. Sifting through a few boxes of cassettes of our earliest recordings of demos and unreleased songs, this has been an intensive labor of love which we are now finally able to bring to life.
  Originally intended to be a trio of cassette tapes for the 25th year anniversary of our musical output, we've decided to go wit\ the more convenient and modern CD format instead.
  
  
  This triple CD collection compiles most of our earliest
  cassette tape home recordings from 1992 to 1995.
  These also pre-date our use of multi-track tape recording.
  
  In 1992, we used to record directly onto cassette tape. We would then overdub along with the first recording onto another tape player and then back and forth until the song was finished.
  
  Some of the songs on this collection are early demos of eventually released songs. Some are fully realized songs that were either intended for release or just simply done for fun.
  
  All of the material in this collection is exactly the same
  as we had originally recorded them. Everything has
  remained untouched with no additional production
  or mixing.
  
  The singing & lyrics are all by Windy.
  Windy also plays bass guitar on a few songs & perhaps
  percussion on one or two of them.
  Carl plays all of the guitars, an occasional bass,
  keyboards, some percussion, a few odd sounds & a
  few sampled sounds. With the exception of the 1st part
  of 'Lighthouse', all of these recordings / versions are
  previously unreleased.
  
  This Triple CD Collection is a Numbered / Signed / Hand Painted edition of 300 copies.
  The CD version contains also has 6 extra songs that are not available as part of the download purchase.
